Why Can’t “Those People” See What I See?

Ever wondered why other people can’t understand something that’s obvious to you? (Or as a friend blurted out in frustration the other day: “Why are those guys so weird?”) Here’s my take on it … something so fundamental we often forget …

  1. This seems so simple when you explain it and yet so often is forgotten as groups come together. I look forward to hearing more.

I love to state the obvious, especially when it’s so often overlooked! And thanks, Nancy, for being the first ever commenter here.

I like the way you presented the information; it makes it easy to get your arms around it. It is interesting that it is hard to create good conversations with a group of diverse people that work for everyone in the conversation. Even if you are aware that there are diverse points of view it is a challenge.

As our society has become more compartmentalized and more technical each discipline has expanded the complexity of their field and that also can make it harder for someone outside the field to understand and relate to them. Perhaps we need some new bridging language.

    Thanks again for the video.
